The product was designed as a VB.NET Windows Forms Application, and has the following features: Query users and their details, based on data from Microsoft Active Directory Services and Microsoft SQL Server. Include user portraits from server file share. Include hardware assets owned by users, and also let IT staff query hardware assets in a separate grid view. Allow IT staff to view locked/disabled users, and give them the option to unlock users. Furthermore other functions of the application was to convert links from one format to another, and allowing import of CSV files and merging of data from SQL and Active Directory, and allowing export to excel This application is still a standard, which is used by all first level staff in the IT department, at the company. |

Project description | Project description A major international project that consisted of migrating ~2500 devices from one local Active Directory domain to another global one. During this project i designed parts of the flows that would ensured a friction-less migration for end users. The major parts of the project was designing a robust series of scripts with verbose logging and error handling, running on clients, that could ensure pre-migration and post-migration tasks were carried out appropriately. Furthermore the scripting logic has to be resilient against device behavior generated by the user. Daily briefings and discussions with global teams were a weekly occurrence for more than 6 months during this project. |

Parts of the project also consisted of documenting in detail all the new process changes, as well as educating local servicedesk in troubleshooting and software usage. |
